:: Mmmmm the smell of fresh ginger tea is so delicious! Just the thought of ginger brings a big goody smile to my face. Sweet, spicy, citrusy. It smells like a bright warm spring day.

Ginger has been used as a natural remedy in the east ( Ayurveda + Chinese Medicine ) for thousands of years to promote wellness and to bring heat into the body. I personally find ginger tea very warming, it’s great for a cold rainy day. When I’m in the mood for a cup, I’ll peel a piece of raw ginger, cut it into pieces, pop them in a tea mug, and pour in some hot water. Voila !  I drink it mostly in the fall and winter. It’s also great for those of you who always have cold hands and feet; or are just always cold.

Incorporating ginger into your cooking is a great way to spice things up! A dash here or there is delicoious in pretty much any Asian or Indian dish you’re making at home. 

Ginger is not ideal for people who run hot, have acne + rosace, are prone to anxiety, or have hormonal imbalance. A nice alternative  would be peppermint.
